Administrative informations

Airlines:

The area is served by Air France, Air Madagascar, Corsair, and Air Austral from La Reunion to Nosy Be.

Administrative formalities:

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and you must have a valid single entry tourist visa, issued through Madagascan diplomatic services or consulates, either at the airport or port of embarkation which requires payment of the corresponding fee.

Time difference:

Madagascar is GMT +3 in winter and GMT +2 in summer.

Climate:

Nosy Be enjoys sunshine all year round. Its microclimate effectively ensures 330 days of good weather per year. The water temperature varies from 26° to 35° according to the season.

Currency:

For technical reasons, bank cards are not accepted at Tsara Komba Lodge. However, you are welcome to pay in Euros, Malagasy Ariary (local currency) and Travellers Cheques. There are cash machines in Hell City, the main town on Nosy Be, which is a 25 minute boat ride from Tsara Komba Lodge.

Vaccination:

No vaccinations are required but a course of malaria prevention medication is recommended.
